I loved working in finance, but long hours and the monotony started pulling me down. I felt caught in a vicious circle of work and numbers with never-ending deadlines, leaving space neither for my family nor for myself. I found myself questioning whether this would be what I would do all my life. The pressure to perform combined with burnout began to take a toll on my mental health.". I wanted a change but did not know where to start. A friend introduced me to inGrade's Data Analytics program, and it felt like the perfect way out. The flexible learning schedule allowed me to balance my personal life while upskilling. Now, I feel fulfilled at Coca-Cola, and I have a healthy work-life balance for the first time.

Being a nurse was rewarding but emotionally draining. I would come home from long shifts feeling completely exhausted, both physically and mentally. The stress of dealing with critical cases and the emotional weight of losing patients started impacting my relationships and health. I realized I needed to step back and find a new path—one where I could still make an impact but without sacrificing my well-being. It was intimidating to join inGrade's Data Science program, but I always had it in me to keep going because of the very supportive community. Being a data scientist at Starbucks, I now solve problems differently using data, and I have regained my peace of mind and sense of making differences.

I was a school administrator juggling multiple roles, but my personal life was falling apart. Long hours, tight budgets, and constant pressure to meet deadlines left no time for my family or myself. My daughter once said, 'Dad, you're always too busy,' and it hit me hard. I realized I needed a career that allowed me to provide for my family without sacrificing time with them. The Data Privacy program in inGrade provided me with an opportunity to shift. It allowed me to study after work, thanks to the online structure. Real-world projects also helped me land a job at Amazon, and now I have a job that pays well and allows me to be there for my family.

My passion was working in theater, but working there was not without its challenges-it was unstable income, late rehearsals at night, and worrying about the next project. I loved what I did, but this level of instability began to affect my mental health as well. I couldn't plan my future because every month became a sort of gamble. My friend told me about AI, and I was curious but hesitant because I wasn't tech-savvy at all. It was just what I needed at that point: InGrade's program made learning accessible to me, and slowly, I started finding my confidence in coding and problem-solving. I am currently working as an AI Engineer at Best Buy with a stable career and an opportunity to be creative in new ways, feeling like I finally have found my balance.

After retiring from the military, I struggled with finding my purpose. I had spent years protecting my country, but civilian life felt aimless. The structured routine was gone, and I felt disconnected from the world around me. It affected my confidence and mental health, and I knew I needed a new mission—something meaningful. When I found inGrade’s Cybersecurity program, it gave me a clear path forward. Applying military skills to a new context with the support of mentors, which kept me going, has allowed me to achieve a renewed sense of purpose today as a Cybersecurity Consultant at Google. This is a stability that protects systems and actually makes an impact, bringing back pride in my life.

From IT Support to Cybersecurity

I used to work in IT support, fixing the same issues repeatedly. Honestly, it got boring, and I didn't feel like I was making a real difference. To add insult to injury, I'd see companies getting hit with security breaches, and I knew there was more that could have been done to prevent them. That's when I found inGrade's Cybersecurity program. It taught me how to detect threats and take action before things got out of hand. Now, I'm an Incident Response Specialist at CrowdStrike, tackling cyber threats head-on. It's way more exciting, and I love knowing that my work is protecting people and businesses.

From Teaching to Data

I taught math for many years and, although loved by my students, was really getting stuck on a loop where I was helping everyone else learn but never wanting to solve my own real-world problems. As the pandemic finally arrived, it was time to change my path. I began to study Data Science with inGrade, which totally transformed my career. I gained confidence in switching to a new field after learning Python and working on projects. Now, as a Statistician at UPS, I apply my love for numbers to make delivery routes better and processes smoother. It is so fulfilling to see my work have a real impact.

From Retail to Data Engineering

Humanize AI I started off in retail management, managing inventory and dealing with supply chain issues. It was always frustrating that some systems were so inefficient, but I had no idea how to fix them. I wanted to do more than just manage problems; I wanted to solve them. That's when I found inGrade's Big Data Engineering program. I learned tools like Hadoop and Spark, which gave me the confidence to step into tech. Now, I'm a Big Data Engineer at Kroger, working on massive datasets to streamline operations. It feels great to finally make the kind of changes I used to wish for.

From Customer Service to Cybersecurity

I used to work in customer service, constantly being bombarded by complaints about fraud and data breaches. It was frustrating because all I could do was apologize to the customer; I wanted to be on the other side of the problem. That's why I decided to take inGrade's Cybersecurity program. It was a challenge, but it was definitely worth it—I learned how to identify and prevent security issues. I'm now an Intrusion Analyst III at Walmart. It is the team that protects customers' data. That is a far cry from where I started. I could not be happier to make the switch.

In my previous role as a marketing manager, I was always frustrated because we did not have good data to work with. We were making guesses instead of decisions, and I knew things could be better.
